I started my career seven years ago as a humble girl from Ohio with a degree in game design. I wanted to modal characters and map environments. But as I began forging my path in Chicago, my skills in multiple programs somehow led me to digital design. From there, my experiences grew and I was able to work on some amazing projects with even more amazing people. I designed with agencies like Razorfish, SapientNitro, Walgreens Digital Health, Rightpoint and eventually moved in-house with a company I have always loved–InVision. .
I’ve had the pleasure of leading and managing the design execution for mobile apps, enterprise products, digital workspaces and e-commerce experiences. At InVision, I serve as a design lead on the marketing platform team, where I’m learning how to bring design into business by driving key growth metrics, enabling our sales teams and fostering customer retention and activation. The work I produce shines light on our product capabilities, our amazing resource of design educational content and highlights the insights of top design teams across the world. I design a platform built entirely for designers.
I’ve engaged in everything from discovery, strategy, planning and design, all the way to development oversight and launch. Not only do I get to manage key accounts, but I also initiate, lead and manage improvements in our design teams process. I aim to increase efficiency, standardization, cross-discipline collaboration, training and promote inclusive design with all users in mind.
I realized quite quickly in my career that what I had always loved about game design still rings true today. The multidisciplinary experience. The problem solving. The passion. The story. Above all else, it’s connecting all of the interactions, sounds, visuals and content together so that they’re seemingly invisible, yet undeniably memorable.
